The LimbusBarn is a semi-open acoustic structure inspired by an airy hey barn, often found in the middle of a field. Free-standing, LimbusBarn helps create defined semi-open free spaces in open office environments.

LimbusBarn fall under the Barn & Fences collection, designed by Johan Kauppi for Glimakra of Sweden. The range offers room dividers and muted rooms for large open-offices, public spaces and large scale interiors.

In today's modern office, activity-based workspaces are essential to help solve the office worker's needs and challenges. There is a delicate balance between creating open, interactive, flexible spaces and meeting staff's privacy requirements.

The LimbusBarn functions as a space-defining room solution that see-through, making it ideal for informal meetings and private workplaces.

The LimbusBarn with pitched roof comes in three variants: 

LimbusBarn 270 open pod with slats is a slightly smaller and lower variant than the LimbusBarn 300 Open Pod. Cladded using identically sized acoustic panels all equally spaced gives the design a balanced combination of sound absorption and transparency. The pod uses a 40 mm square tubular steel structure which stands on a flat iron frame. Twenty-eight panels that form walls and roof are hooked onto the frame. Lamp hook is standard.

LimbusBarn 270 Solid open pod uses larger solid panels. The pod uses a 40 mm square tubular steel structure which stands on a flat iron frame. Lamp hook is standard.

LimbusBarn 300 open pod is very similar to the 270 models except that it features a wooden floor and includes a power socket. The pod uses a 40 mm square tubular steel structure which stands on a flat iron frame. Twenty-eight panels that form walls and roof are hooked onto the frame. Lamp hook is standard.
