The Skate Task Chair is a light mesh back office chair inspired by Skateboarding. Skateboarding is a form of expression that allows you to explore space freely, and the Skate office chair enables you to work freely while keeping balanced and orientated.

Skate is an active office chair for agile working environments.

Skate is the evolution of the ON stool range. An innovative stool which encourages the user to move and balance through a swaying mechanism integrated into the seat.

Bertolini - Ferrarese and Scagnellato took inspiration from the freedom of movement allowed on a Skateboard to develop the Skate chair's backrest.

Skate adapts to the body's movements, with a high level of functional performance and with this wanted to ensure the backrest had a comfortable shape. 

Office Well-being at 360°

The Skates 3D movement in the seat follows the user's torso keeping it active and stimulating the muscles, ensuring seated comfort without any adjustments.

Inspiration was taken from the truck of the skateboard to design supportive mesh backrest of Skate: the T-shaped element which connects the castors to the board allows this to adapt to the skater's movements.

Skate's swaying system allows the back to follow all the movements of the user freeing them from any limitation while ensuring the correct seating posture.
